So I have the bore and scope aligned at 25 yds to get on paper. Should I start at 50 yds before going to 100 yds? Should I sight in dead on at 100 or higher?

me, i'd shoot at least one or two on
the 50 first off.
if you are going to shoot at a particular
range, say 150 yards, you should always
shoot practice shots at 150 yards with
whatever firearm and ammo you will
be using to hunt.
good luck

i don't think you'll be sorry.
i hear so many folks ask " i shoot a
.338 ripsnort-sonic short magnum
with a 6x20 scope. where do i hold
at 200 yards with a 100 yard sight-in?"
and i always tell 'em " where did it hit
when you shot at 200? that's the only
sure way to tell if you're gonna make
a clean kill on something"
good luck with it!

Find the sabot that groups the best in your gun before you start sighting it in. In other words buy as many different sabots as you can afford and shoot for group size first. Then start sighting it in. it will save you head aches. I always start at 50yds and then move out from there.
