Weird Lam. stock?

Anyone know what kind of stock this is? Early NEF/H&R? Modified factory? Third party? Thanks.

Kinda neat looking... I like it.

If I was guessing, and I will  ;) . I say brand new, as checkering that is something thats NOT done on old stocks. Maybe a limited run gun?

It's strange to see with out a recoil pad and just a plate...

I don't think you could get this from a current std monti set, looks "fuller" behind cheek piece than current std Monti set...

Looks "easier" and faster to produce, I say its a brand new offering..

Maybe Brian could tell us...

It's been posted before, my search didn't find it tho, IIRC it was reshaped and checkered much the same as Fred did with his, note the nice fit at the frame.

Pretty sure it's not new, as it's currently on a used NT (2003) NEF I'm thinking of buying. Doesn't mean it was "born" on this particular rifle of course.

The re-shape idea seems to make the most sense, especially with the recoil pad absent.
