I thought my Ruger77 350rm was not very accurate when I traded in my Savage 10ml2 for it. After replacing the factory scope rings for Z rings and installing a better scope and using 63.5 to 65gr of Ac2700 and a Hornady 200gr bullet, now I get dime size five shot groups.

I'm gonna hold out for a 260 or one of the other short 6.5s. I've got such a good Rem 270 sitting in my cabinet now that I have no excuse to get another bolt gun, except that I really feel the "need" for a clip fed bolt action.

I have a Ruger M77 MKII in .308 that we call "The Magic Rifle".  It's about 10 years old and shot .75 MOA out of the box.  It is one of, or perhaps the most, accurate centerfire rifle of about 30 that we own.  Over the years, I have made some incredible long shots with it.
