Secession: Wave of the Future?
« on: September 04, 2012, 02:27:03 PM »
Is secession the wave of the future?  Interesting and  thought provoking op ed from VDARE suggests that it is.  Also, check out the DNC coverage.  It looks like the bar scene from Star Wars, not from the USA.   Will two  different  constituencies give way to two separate countries?

Same thing happened in Detroit and Birmingham.  Whites moved to suburbs and created their own towns and school systems.  Middle class blacks have moved also.  It is not just whites.  Birmingham is surrounded by towns like Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Gardendale, Hueytown, and others, each with its own school system.  Each has between 25,000 and 50,000 people.  Population around Birmingham is greater than Birmingham itself.  Forced integration caused more problems than fixed.

i would not be surprised to see Arizona secede from the union...if they do, they'd be followed by Texas, Montana and who knows who else.

if obama continues his attacks on states like these...it won't be surprising at all.

mr lokota sir
i'm afraid i'm in the same boat as you
as far as 21st century and gen-y terms.
i only learned from my last job what half
this stuff is. one of the management types
had an office 20 steps from where i worked,
and a phone and intercom on the desk same as me.
without fail several times a day, she would roll her chair to to
the door way and ask "didja get my e-mail?"

?? :( ??

when i went to school, these computers we have
now didn't exist. by the time i'd gone to work full
time, they had computers that didn't require
a room of their own and big reels of tape.

don't feel too bad. i just recently found out
what lol and lmao was.

Maybe TM, will do so considering that he's the one that uses that term constantly.

Thanks Graybeard. I believe I will bookmark that. This internet jargon is getting to be like a foreign language. What ever happened to just saying what ya mean instead of an abbreviation? I am not that old(40) but I guess I am old enough to be befuddled by a lot of this techno crap!

Doing it on your own for those States mentioned may not be as easy as it appears.
Currency, Postal Serivice being sone of them.

Our spoiled brat Province( Quebec) has talked separation many years and are at it again. There is a big difference what separation means to the Francophones and what it means to the rest of Canada.
