Remington model 522 speedmaster
« on: September 05, 2012, 09:08:43 AM »
I recently ran across a 522 speedmaster in what I would say is good condition with just a few marks on the finish mostly where the ejected shells have hit the side of the rifle. Does anyone have an idea of the value of this .22 ? The owner is asking $175. I can find very little on the net as to the value of this rifle. Thanks, Ron...

I believe it should be a Model 552 not 522. At that price I'd jump on it in a heartbeat. New price these days on them is over $500 I believe and that's if you can actually find one.

really liked it.  really nice gun, but i
never really clicked with it.

It most definitely is a 552 not a 522 as I originally posted. Thanks, Ron...

The 552 is a semiauto. The 572 is the pump. Yes both are worth way more than the asking price.

I have a 552 that i bought new in the 70's, it's been out in the barn for more than 30 years, never cleaned or even wiped off.  It looks like chit, but it never jams and still shoots VERY good.
