It isn't nearly as dramatic as a foreclosure, many years ago I saw a BC Hydro truck( That is what the Power Co is called there) coming into our cul de sac. Shortly after that my power went out and I saw the truck disappearing again. That got me curious and I had a look at the transformer we were hooked up to and saw that the cable had been cut.
Turns out to be a neighbors house was in arrears for several months with their bills and they cut mine instead of theirs. Yes, they came back to hook us up the same day ...............after I mentioned a lawsuit.
Imagine you are gone for some days and come home to a defrosted Fridge and Freezer.
