I'd like to think of converting a Winchester M1894 chambered for 44 Mag to 445 Super Mag. Rechambering would be quite simple. The question is, what would have to be done in the lifter area to feed the longer cartridge? How does the 44 Mag lifter differ from the 30-30 lifter? How far back is the ejecter in 44 and 30-30?
