i am in sw MO.in a area where normally we see no turkeys. now 10 mile away they are covered up with turkeys. a week or two ago i saw a hen and 5 young in my back yard/field.then i saw several adults and sum young in the same place.it is a open field adjacent to 40 acres of brush and 100 acres of woods.i have never seen more than 1 or 2 turkeys in this area and never more than once or twice in 10 yrs.
ok i hustled down there with the mower and cut a strip of field down to the dirt and spread corn and wheat on it for them to eat. not seen them since and food aint been touched.what do i do now except be paitent?
