Remember "potatoe"?
« on: September 11, 2012, 01:46:29 PM »
Are we likely to hear this "dumbness" repeated often from now on ?

1)Potatoe was written on the card by the teacher.
2) Potatoe is an old english version of the word and is acceptable.
3) listen to Joe Biden and it makes Dan sound like Albert Einstien!
4)Someone needs to remind Obama and Biden about basic Economics.
Increasing taxes, increases prices
Law of supply and demand says as prices goes up, demand goes down.
As Demand goes down, unemployment goes up!
as Demand goes down, Profits fall and that is what the taxes are based on.
So either Obama is the Dumbist person to ever misunderstand the economy or he is looking to ruin our economy and hurt the poor people with fewer jobs and higher prices and fewer choices.

Right you are McWooduck;
I recall seeing it on the news the day it happened. He was given a printed cue card by the teacher, which was already spelled wrong,Quayle simply passed on the wrong spelling.
However, that makes no difference to liberals who still laugh over Palin supposedly saying "I can see Russia from my house".

Of course, Sarah never said that!  She said "You can see Russia from Alaska"..which is of course true.  ..But since when does true mean anything to a liberal?
It was a standup comedian who made the erroneous statement.  I am still trying to figure if liberals are so simple that they don't know American geography or if they are so stupid as to get their news & information from standup comedians.

I was at my factory yesterday and talking with the switch board opperator while waiting for a crane opperator to go look at our equipment.
The lack of knowledge of basic economics is shocking to me.
I said the Law of supply and demand and she said ho do you know it works.  I said it is the Law of supply and Demand it is not the rule of thumb, gravity is a law, you can not wish that it would work differently, gravity is a law and no matter what you think something is not going to fall up.
I told her some things about what Obama has said and she disagreed with me untill someone else came in and backed up what I said.  She sighted ABC news as her source of political information.
