need assembly instructions for Ruger Model 9 carbine
« on: September 11, 2012, 03:17:20 PM »
I have a small gunsmith shop and a fellow brought in a completly diassembled Ruger Model 9 carbine (9mm) in a plastic sack.  This one is going to be a doozy to put together without some kind of instructions. I have checked around on the internet and have not found anything. If someone could direct me to a source I would greatly appreaciate it. Thanks. greer

See if this helps you at all. Sorry I have never dealt with one.

I have no idea on how to attach a pdf. For an instruction manual go to.
http://www.ruger.com/service/productHistory.html#
Click on the Ruger PC9 Carbine. It pops up a page on serial number date of manufacture. Click on the red and white book that says instruction manual.

Bugflipper, O.B.G. Sorry for the delayed response and thanks alot for yours.  The rifle I have is apparently not the same rifle as the PC9 diagrams show from your links. It simply says Model 9. This one has a wood stock instead of a plastic one. They seem to be totally different designs. The trigger assembly is similar to a Marlin Model 60 with all the parts sandwiched between two stamped plates. The safety is also different . The one I have has a blade type safety in the front part of the trigger guard similar to a M1 carbine. It's odd how little info there is about the rifle.  Sure would love to find some detailed assembly instructions.  Thanks again.                                                                                       greer

Sounds like a Marlin Camp Carbine---the Rugers never came with a wood stock.
Here's an online owner manual:

Thanks so much for the info. I feel like a idiot. I got Ruger in my head for some reason and only looked at the Model 9 stamp. No wonder the trigger assembly reminded me of the model 60.  Hopefully I'l be able to find some assembly instructions now. Thanks again. greer
