BH209 IN CVA ACCURA?

WOULD THIS POWDER (BH209) WORK OK IN THE 50 CAL CVA ACCURA MUZZLE LOADER, THANKS IN ADVANCE, JIM

Yes, but only 100% if you purchase the Blackhorn breech plug from CVA or Western Powders. The OEM breech plug is designed for IMR White Hots Pellets. The OEM plug may work OK in moderate temps, but when it gets colder, not so much.

If its the V2 you should get the BH209 plug as busta stated but if its a V1 their is only one plug. My V1 works great but some guys drill their flash hole to .035 and you can O'ring your primer pocket. You can also recess your plug and install a Savage vent liner. That's what I do to all my CVA's once the flash hole wears out.

Yes, I was assuming the V2 or MR, the QRBP will not work in the original Accura. muznut 54 is correct about the original Accura breech plug being able to be modified with a vent liner, opening up the flame channel or flash hole.

What makes these plugs any different from the stock plugs???  I have been using the stock plug for months and have not had any troubles!

The Bh209 plug has a deep powder pocket that puts the powder closer to the primer. If your standard plug is working in your climate your probably ok.
