I have to go (work) to Slovenia at the end of the month. Might even find a cannon or mortar there.

Almost. It was Budpest, Hungary. Not far off.

Shipping a castle home might be expensive. What's the exchange rate? Cannons might be reasonable.

I have been to Ljubljana Airport. Only guns I saw were the AK47 of the Airport guards. Flew Air Macedonia. I think the pilot was an old dive bomber pilot. We made a long slow approach to the airport fly below the steep rugged mountian tops where it would impossible to put an airstrip let alone one big enough to take the 737 we were in. Suddenly the plane did a hard roll and steep dive towards the ground. Just before impact the pilot pulled the nose up and we made the smoothest landing I have ever seen.

Now when you get on the plane you wont question why all the arm rests have those deep indentations in them from passangers holding on for dear life...... Prayers will go with you on your journey.....

Looks like it may be a bronze Austrian 90mm bag gun dated 1891 a later 1898 70mm was at auction not long ago.......

Wish they would take better care of theirs..... I guess it won't fit in your luggage......
