OJ Killed his wife

Kato Kaelin, one of the prime defense witnesses in the O.J. Simpson trial has stated that O.J., in fact did kill his wife.  Actually most of us already knew this.  I'm hoping the D.A. of Los Angeles county in California, will find a way to reopen the case against OJ.  Story below:

  Unless you were born after 1996, you know Kato Kaelin. In the Year of Our Lord 1994, Kato Kaelin was famous. Hot. Headlines. Front page. In everyone’s mouth. On everybody’s lips. TV, radio, newspapers. Kindergarten kids crayonned his name. More mentions of Kato and lawyer Kardashian than today’s mentions of Kanye and Kardashian’s kid Kim.
He was a star of O.J. Simpson’s trial for killing his wife, Nicole. At their house that night, he saw, he heard. He knew who, what and where. The prosecution labeled Kaelin a hostile witness. Unemployed, a freeloader, did he tell the truth then? The world smelled O.J.’s guilt. Simpson went free.
   Ask Kaelin today, this very minute, if O.J. — currently jailed in Vegas on a separate charge — killed his wife, and I repeat his exact words:
“The statute of limitations has now passed . . . so I can now say . . . yes, he did it.”
Why didn’t he come forward and tell the truth? Ask why he let O.J. Simpson get away with murder, and I repeat his exact words:
“I was too scared. I was terrified.”

Of course he killed her but he was tried and acquitted so he cannot again be tried for it period. At least he lost the civil trial and had to pay up. He will never serve time for her murder tho.

The Double Jeopardy Clause only applies in criminal cases, not in civil cases. Criminal cases involve punishment for a crime and are prosecuted by the federal government or by a state government, civil cases are meant to financially compensate victims of crime. This explains why OJ Simpson was tried twice. Simpson was acquitted of murder in a federal criminal trial, but he was found guilty in a state civil trial, in which he had to pay damages to the alleged victims' families. This did not violate the ban on Double Jeopardy, according to the Supreme Court, because he was tried by a federal criminal court and a state civil court. He could not, however, have been tried twice by the state, or twice by the federal government.

It would appear that Kato is still as big a moron as everybody thought. According to California law Penal Code 801.5, 803(c)(2) he is guilty of purgery. The law clearly states that the State has the right to arresting powers up to a maximum of 4 years from the date of discovery. The maximum sentence he can receive is a paltry 4 years. I hope he has been to San Francisco to practice up on being in a cell with Bubba.

we had an aquittal here in a murder trial about that same time.  a black juror was interviewed later and said he would never volt quilty for a black man.

several years ago I sat on a murder trial as an alternate with one white man on the jury. they only convicted him of gun charges when it was obvious he was guilty of murder.

TM7, I think you really don't "get that."  The world knew he was guilty.  He got off because Africans stick together, especially when they are up against the white system.  That fact ought to be clear to everyone.  Just look at the last presidential election. 
Now, after we can admit that to ourselves, we have to also come to the realization that blacks are no longer the minority.  There is a thing we can applaud.  They are God's children, no more or less than other races.  At one time, America wanted people from everywhere.  Now we don't.  We don't want the illegals coming across the sourthern border.  Are they not humans?  Do they not have the same drive to do better for themselves than the criminals and derelicts that came from Europe all those years ago?  What happened?  Are we now a different society?  Has our culture changed to the point we can accept nothing non-white? 
If the Spanish people of Mexico had the strength, they'd take what we took when we got here.  I say get rid of the fences and Border Patrol and welcome them all here with open arms and free access to to health and all benefits that legal citizens have.  Keep no one out that wants to come. 
The last thing we ought to be is prejudice toward any race or culture.  Love everyone the same.  Every race of humans came to their culture through times no harsher than what the white race endured.  They are who they are.  Even Iranians.  It's just the politics that maintains the hatred.  I hope went it's time for me slide on over to the other side, I can do it not hating anyone.

40% white and 28% black. How was it then OJ got off because Africans stick together. OJ got acquitted because he had the money to buy the best lawyers, and because of who he was.

Mike those criminals and derelicts that came from Europe years ago had to work to get anything. That includes food. If they took to stealing they got shot. Today the illegals streaming across the border are not all looking for work. Many are coming because they know they will be taken care of by the tax payers. Bit of a difference between now and then don't ya think? If immigrants failed back then they went back home. If they fail now they just stay, and enjoy the free ride. Keeping these people out has nothing to do with hate, but everything to do with right and wrong.

  I tend to agree with most of what you hav said, but I am still opposed to illegal entry, no matter where those who sneak in come from.  We as any other nation, should keep track of basic demographic information and statistics, and those we elect should be doing their job of keeping all records as close to actuarial as they can. Unfortunately, some elected officials are in cahoots with the illegals.
   One thing  some immigrants (legal & illegal) could do to smooth their entry and be more welcome , is to assimilate into the American mainstream.  Only recently have some of the various alien communities had the hubris not to even try assimilation.  Those who have been here longer all did so, without giving up their own roots..  We see German, Scottish, Irish, Polish, Russian & Greek &  etc. festivals.  We have "China towns" and Vietnamese enclaves.. but all these people consider themselves #1..American..and #2 whatever ethnic group they wish to celebrate.  When they deal with the larger world, they do so in English and go by US laws.
  I  think most people understand there is "period of adjustment" for any immigrant, and I have a very good friend who came from Italy some 26 years ago..he still struggles with certain words and speaks with a very heavy accent..but today, he is an AMERICAN.
  He often speaks fondly of his early years in Italy and that is to be expected..but he has put out the effort to be an American.
 
  Actually, I don't blame the immigrants so much as the prevalent, liberal non-logic..  Liberalism preaches "multiculturalism" and "diversity", which essentially says "do whatever you want, we aren't concerned with morals, American soveriegnty or anything else..just so everyone maintains "self-esteem ". 
    We were founded as the UNITED STATES .  Nothing makes the people LESS UNITED or LESS... STATES..than essentially telling new immigrants that... "we have no values worth preserving ..so keep your own or make new ones".
 
 
    BTW:  One small correction, Mike..You used a common phrase that comes close but still misses by a mile.. when you said "they are all God's children"..not quite..     We are all God's creation, but we are NOT God's children..not until we make it so.  That is not an exclusionary statement, becoming a child of God is available to everyone..all they have to do is ask!...
