Press question

I've loaded quite a few pistol and rifle calibers and I'm considering branching out into shotshells, 12 & 16 gauges.
Will I need a different press for each bore size? Or can I change out dies like pistols & rifles.
Loading shotshells is completely foreign to me so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

i don't load shotshells.
i had thought about it , and ones
i looked at were gauge specific
except for the lee load all,  but
someone with more expertise may
have to correct me on that

I was given a MEC 650 press in 12 ga. I already had a 650 in 12 ga, so I converted it to 16ga. It can be done. I would not do it again and I will never change it back to 12 ga. There is to much fiddling around with adjustments to get it set up.
MEC sells conversion kits for several of their loaders. They may be a lot easier to use than what I did. 
IMHO I would go Gauge specific with presses. I have seen many used MEC 12 and 20 ga very reasonably priced. I have never known of a used 16 ga. I have a feeling that you are looking at buying that one new. There are both progressive and single stage presses out there, shooting volume would determine which one to buy.

Separate loaders. You do not want to be swapping shotshell dies. Get a MEC either 600 or Sizemaster 77 which is my favorite.

Plus One on the size master.
The machine with just a bolt change will go from 2 3/4 to 3"
The size maser is a simple machine that drops the primer for you.
the bar can be swapped out for different loads.  from 7/8 to 1 1/4 oz and larger
 
Buy a reloading manual.
Get a funnel to help reload the powder and the shot.
After reloanding for years the thing I can tell you is pick a hull color and load for that
For example
I have red AA hulls that are 1 1/8 oz #7.5 at 1200 FPS
The Grey AA hulls are 1 1/8 oz #9 at 1200 FPS
and the SilverAA hulls are 1 oz #9
The Gold  Rem hulls are 1 1/4 oz #7 at 1300 FPS
the Green Rem hulls are 1 1/4 oz #6 at 1300 fps.
It makes it easier when you havbe a box split and shells are everywhere in a trunk, bag, or the back of the truck.
