Loop Lever on a B-78

I`m trying to visualize what a loop lever would look like on a Browning . Anyone ever seen one or have photos of something similar? Best of luck. POW

I saw a couple of Winchester high-walls and a Ballard with lever loops this weekend at a gunshow.  The levers were done to follow the contour of the pistol grip and shaped like that seen on Winchester leveraction M64, M1886, M71.

At first glance they looked STRANGE, but after some reflection, they looked rather classy if done right.  Apparently they were/are popular in Scheutzen-style rifles.

Thanks John. I have a Win 64 and like the loop on it. The 71 has always been a dream of mine but have not had one.
 I have seen photos of old Ballards with loop levers and like the look a lot and was thinking that it might be a nice touch on my Browning. Best of luck. POW

De Haas's books "Single Shot Rifles" and "More Single Shot Rifles"  show ss several rifles with loop levers. Don't care for them myself.

POW,

One more thing:  If you stretch your imagination a bit, you can visualize that M78 with a Winchester-lever-style loop as looking something like the rear 1/3 of a Winchester lever action with smaller hammer and trigger guard.

Cover up everything forward of the trigger guard on a side profile view of an M1886, M1892, M64, M71 and you will see what I mean!
