Mitt wants to be able to open the windows
« on: September 24, 2012, 03:59:13 PM »
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-romney-beverly-hills-fundraiser-20120922,0,2317962.story

“I appreciate the fact that she is on the ground, safe and sound. And I don’t think she knows just how worried some of us were,” Romney said. “When you have a fire in an aircraft, there’s no place to go, exactly, there’s no — and you can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem. So it’s very dangerous. And she was choking and rubbing her eyes. Fortunately, there was enough oxygen for the pilot and copilot to make a safe landing in Denver. But she’s safe and sound.”

And he wants to be President. Right along with the one that is already in office, I just have to ask, "In what world do these guys live?"

Presidential material...yeah, OK. All these guys are a bunch of PINOCHIOS. It's just too bad that the masses cannot see their strings or that their noses don't grow when they lie.

Makes one wonder though, who are the puppeteers?

I bet if Biden had said that the majority of people on here would be all over it.  Since it was Mitt there seems to be only silence.
Good Shooting,

What's he doing in Beverly Hills?  I thought he is supposed to represent the average guy.

There are two problems with this country.  One, the way our leaders are selected, and two, the direction those leaders move our country.   >:(
Study after study has shown how dangerous distracted driving is yet people continue to talk on their cell phones while driving. Driving in the U.S. requires your full attention. Many states and countries have made it illegal to use a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle and the federal government should follow their lead. Banning the use of cell phones while driving would have the added benefit of making the no-texting law enforceable.

I'll go ya one better.  I don't know why anyone is crazy enough to get into an airplane.  Whether, or not the windows open, or there might be a way to clear smoke from the interior of an airplane if need be is problematic, but not to me.  What about any of that has to do with Presidential candidates lying?  And yes if Biden had made some comment about airplane windows, I'm sure he would have done it in a way that would have been quite entertaining.
Just keep reaching guys; one of these days you'll find something.

I'd want to, too. Smoke in the aircraft? Grim news. Yeah, I'd open the window the get some air if I could, and start looking for a flat spot. Hopefully I'd be in something that doesn't require 4000' of runway... maybe a Luscombe (and could stick my head out)
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Explosive decompression is a liberal myth, like global warming.  ;D

Yep, your right, it doesn't have anything to do with him being a liar (like ALL politicians). I guess it has more to do with him being an idiot. An open cabin is dangerous in itself but to suddenly open a rush of air into a burning cabin could be disastrous. Depends on the type of aircraft too I guess.
