    Cecil Chao, a Hong Kong shipping magnate and property developer, made the announcement just a week after his 33-year-old daughter Gigi revealed she is married to her female partner of seven years, the South China Morning Post reported.
    Same-sex marriages are not recognized legally in Hong Kong.
    And rather than accept the decision, the 76-year-old Chao put up his offer of a marriage dowry.
     
    "I don’t mind whether he is rich or poor. The important thing is that he is generous and kind-hearted," he told the Post while dismissing reports of his daughter’s same-sex marriage as "false."
     
    His offer has been met with an enthusiastic response from around the world, according to ABC News.
    Gigi's Facebook and Twitter accounts have been inundated with requests and followers. She is laughing off the offer, calling it "quite entertaining."

    Perhaps if he had been a father in the correct family structure, he may have avoided this problem.

      They both have my sympathy...we all have choices to make in life; sadly some make disasterous choices..

    Concerned Fathers and mothers are a good start. With both in a family. I do not know of any culture where that is not the rule... but I have not been everywhere. 
    The father claims to have slept with 10,000 women. He was not married to the girls mother. He has 3 daughters by different women he is not married to either. That is not good family structure.
