I am looking at a "Brand new" .243 Handi rifle. Blued with wood, barrel looks to be on the heavy side. Is $150 out of line??

The price sounds great to me. If I could get the standard Handis at that price in my neck of the woods, I'd need a new safe. I'm seeing them for $219.00. Go for it.

Previously owned.
I've been looking on this sight for a while, seems the sheels seem to stick once in a while and triggers need a bit of tweeking. Anything else???

Welcome Rookie, check out the FAQs post at the top of the forum it will answer alot, Buck and a half sounds great, I happen to like my .243 just fine.Keep it clean and it will do you right.

I'd have no problem with a new rifle bought online, but a used one would need to be checked before you transfer ownership and I'd be very cautious. The H+R/NEF guns I have, .223, .243, 7mm-08, 45/70, and 20 guage shotgun, have not shown any problems with shell ejection. The triggers seem good for hunting, but I want to lighten up the varmints trigger a bit. The only other problem seems to be the forearms pressure on the barrel, and is easily cured by adding a rubber O-ring where the forearm screws into the barrel.

Litman252- I bought a 243 utlra (bull barrel, lam. stock) at Wally World for $220, and I love it.
