Benjamin Trail All Weather .22 Cal
« on: September 28, 2012, 03:07:36 PM »
My son bought a new Benjamin Trail All Weather .22 air rifle. The one Jim Shockey is promoting. This thing kicks butt!!!! We sighted it in today, it is dead acurate at 50 yards, and blows right through 1/4 plywood at that range. Plenty powerful enough for any kind of small game. It came with a pretty nice Center Point 3 x 9 x 40 scope too. Varmints and squirrelsbeware! :) I may just have to buy me one! ;)

I just ordered one from Cabela's myself a few minutes ago. Wally World, and some on-line places are cheaper, but I had a gift card, and Club Cabela's points to bring it down to $170 out the door. I've been researching air rifles for a couple weeks, and believe the Trail NP is the best for the price. I found lots of good information on it's ability, care, and easy mods on http://www.airgunweb.com/. thjis guy really knows his stuff, and gives impartial, interesting, and informative reviews. Also great advice on improving the already good accuracy. Also I found a lot of good advise on http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?action=forum
Probably the single most productive improvement is an upgraded trigger from http://www.charliedatuna.com/GRT-III%20Trigger%20New.htm. Said to be an easy swap out for the rough original. I'll post my results, and experiences in the future here on GBO.
