I don't think I tried the Vmax in the sportster.

I love these 50g bullets so when it shot so well I was ecstatic!!

My barrel is a std. But it's older so slow tapered.

I was (still am) confused with the term Vmax.....  This is because nearly EVERY maker has a VMAX offering!!!!!  :o :-[ :-\

My previous post where I said my Marlin likes them. I was talking about CCI +V 30 g HP ammo. OR what I like to call Stinger Magnums.

BUT a recient trip to the store shows CCI also has a VMAX, Hornady has a VMAX and Winchester also has a VMAX. Even Remington has a V max bullet....

Sorry for the confusion..

I did just buy a couple boxes of Hornady flavor VMax to try... ::)

They shoot as well in my Sportster as the 40 grain WW do.  I wish it handled CCIs better, since in rimfires, I am basically a CCI fan, but the WW 40gr HPs are the choice.
I also have a Savage 93F in .22 mag and since the Savage is more accurate, I use that most of the time....

I have tried them now and they dont shoot as good as the Winny 40HP.
I thought maybe they would Shoot better in a Bull Barrel but alas H&R dosnt offer a Replacement .22 Mag Bull anymore(They use to,Thanks Remington)  Guess Il get a BB Savage 93FV to shoot 30gr Vmax.
