T/C flintlock,early;Renegade question

I understand that early on, T/C changed their flintlock action. What did they change?
How can you tell difference?

Also...On another muzzleloading forum I made the comment that all T/C Renegade
rifles have a 1 inch barrel. Another poster states he has a 15/16 Renegade,
and that 'Renegade' is on the barrel.
 
I don't doubt his veracity, but I have never seen/heard/read of such a rifle.
Could his ruler be off by .0625??
 
At first I figgered he had an all-octagon PennHunter. They are quite similar to
a Renegade. However with 'Renegade' on the barrel I suppose it must be a
Renegade. I may have to offer to buy it!

If I remember correctly they changed the geometry of the frizzen and an alloy change for better temper so they would throw better spark

The guy is a fruitcake and doesn't know what he's talking about, Renegades are 1"
