mystery signal cannon

Does anyone have any idea what this is?  It's cast iron, weighs 75 pounds.  The barrel is 17 incnes long, about fifteen inches of which is bored.  The bore diameter in one inch.  the wheels are 9 inches.  No markings anywhere.  Fires black powder.  Firing wadding only since projectile would be too hazardous with the bore in rough condition

Is this percussion cap fired? Looks like it..... there were many foundries making these in the late 19th & early 20th centuries, as to trying to ID it ..... unless it's marked or someone has an old catalog with one it's really hard to say who made it....  How "rough" is the bore if it has deep pitting I would be very wary of loading and firing this.... because of the nature and structure of cast iron the pitting you see could go much deeper into the structure of the tube itself and sooner or later you discover instead of it firing like a little cannon it lets go like a grenade....... just a suggestion, find a nice place to display it and don't shoot it any more ......
Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!
