Are these worth switching too?

I buy a set everytime I get a new set of dies. They lock together instead of locking on the threads and I think they make a better stop then thread locking.

Yes. Or the ones Sinclair sells that operate in the same manner, but are round. I prefer the Hornady because I can easily put a crescent wrench on them to loosen the die from the press if my arthritis starts to act up.

I'm getting a few sets for all my toolheads.  They aren't as critical to have if one has multiple heads setup, but if one switches dies on a single-stage press (or even on a progressive), it sure does make switching between calibers MUCH easier, with little to no adjusting.

The price seems to high for just a locking ring. I use a lee turret press and for $9 I can get an extra turret and just leave it set up and switch turrets.

If you always use the same bullet, if you always use the same seating depth, if you always crimp, if you always full length size, then the Hornady rings are a waste of money. In other words you set them and leave them. If you vary your loading componets or just like to experiment, lock rings that are easily adjustable, without damaging the die threads, are for you.
