"Obamacare" has not cost anyone anything, yet. If you're insurance costs went up, that's the 1%ers that are involved in health insurance squeezing you for every cent they can before the regs kick in. Those increases ought to tell you how much regulation is needed.
If you give up, THEY don't have to win.

Those regs will really be helpful, when health care that you or a family member want is denied. These regs that were written by bureaucrats are not meant to benefit us. Just wait until businesses are forced to dump their employees health care coverage. There will not be any choices for anyone except the bureaucrats. You will be told what health care you will be getting, and what you won't get.

Mine for family coverage went up over $100 a month the year after it was implemented.

Here are some things to think about.

To provide health care for full time employees, it will cost the average business $1.85/hour per person to be insured plus endless paperwork.
It cost $1.10/hour to pay the penalty for not providing health care.
Part time workers under 32 hours a week do not have to have health care.

Hmmm.  See what is going to happen.  Businesses are going to use mostly part time work with only management full time.  Briggs and Stratton, who moved here from Wisconsin, only uses full time for management and skilled maintenance workers.  All production workers are part time.  Hmmm.

We are going to become a nation of part time uninsured workers.  See what Obama is doing.  This will create a demand for government health care for all, so the insurance companies will eventually go out of business with the Feds controlling health care.  Good luck with that.  Look how they run the postal service, social security, even the military with $200 hammers.  Government is wasteful, not cost effective.  Look at the old Soviet Union where the government ran everything.  Hello socialism, rationed care, from the best health care in the world to just average European style.  No additional doctors to cover the supposed millions being added.  Waiting times to see a doctor because of it.

This was a stupid plan that was rushed through congress without asking ALL parties to contribute ideas.  NOT ONE republican idea was in the plan just the general idea.  No tort reform.  No cross state lines for insurers.

You can kid yourself, but not the rest of us...
I was at my neighborhood trucking company the other morning and asked their bookeeper if Obamacare is affecting their health insurance costs.  She said their HC insurance costs will be going up "substantially"..
Look, for Medicare patients it is already pushing costs up..in anticipation..raised co-pays on appointments and prescriptions etc.   What can one expect when the pres pulls $570 billion out of a program that participants are paying into monthly ?   ...And the amount of $$ for monthly payments has increased...

And ALL OF THAT is the beloved 1%, gouging you for every cent they can before the regulations take hold. Obama did not take anything away from Medicare. Part of your increased Medicare drug costs is the unfunded Part D that GW pushed through--- again, the big pharma companies are not holding up their end. If your costs are higher after 2014, you might have a complaint about Obamacare. That is not a valid argument for now. Now, we are under the same system as we were before, except they can't deny coverage for kids. That's it. That's all that has been enacted. Everything else is thanks to your insurance companies.
If you give up, THEY don't have to win.

Same with my company.  Don't know what planet CDQ lives on, but he must work for the government someway.  Private companies are hurting in every way.  Taxes, health care insurance, rules and regulations, are costing business and industry millions.  This is all passed on of course in higher prices paid by the consumers.

I can't really say that it has affected me yet, but I'm certainly worried how it will affect me. This Marxist bull crap is just getting started. Whats the idea Chung? Is it the idea of maybe getting back at the 1 percenters and insurance companies, that you are supporting this? We the people are the ones that are going to get screwed over. Especially the ones that pay. You can see the forest Chung, you just have to look past the trees.

I'm for straight up socialized medicine. It would cost 'way less than either what we have now or what we'll get under Obamacare. There should be a bare minimum healthcare supplied by the government at cost. Then, insurance companies can all compete with that--- in other words, true capitalism, with true competition for the most benefits for the lowest prices--- what's not to like?

What's funny is I looked at Forbe's magazine and saw who the richest 400 were in American, and about 70% of them were for Obama.  Something smells.  Obama attacks the billionares, but they vote for him?  He is all socialist talk.  He knows he will never control them.  They can always cash in and move to the Cayman Islands or somewhere.  Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Apple's CEO, GE's CEO, George Soros, even one of the Walmart owners, Google's founder, Facebook's founder.  All of these guys are liberal elitists, yet Obama has the dems, the young, the poor, and the minorities eating out of his hand about the 1%, yet they support him.  He couldn't have gotten all his billions of campaign contributions from the welfare poor.  Most don't see this.

Who actually will pay the bills when all is said and done, the middle class, upper middle class, and the lower class millionairs.  However these libs here can't see that.

Question for you;  how much of your social security dollar is returned to the public to do it's work, and how much is eaten up by Government admin. costs?

Admin costs are not much. What IS a lot is the amount "borrowed" from the SSI fund by the rest of the government. Part of the "fiscal cliff," which is separate from the Bush tax cuts (which were supposed to be temporary, anyway) is the repayment of the interest on the Social Security money that has already been borrowed. Over $6 trillion is owed back to Social Security. THAT'S the fiscal cliff--- money OWED to Social Security. THAT'S why the right wants to get rid of Social Security and Medicare--- so they don't have to pay that back, and the elderly and disabled can kiss off. Oh, and part of the SSI admin cost is keeping up with which other department owes how much. The reason the fiscal cliff has military cuts is that they borrowed a lot of the money. The fiscal cliff involves stopping that "lending."

CDQ, THE RIGHT DOES NOT WANT TO GET RID OF SOCIAL SECURITY.  IT WANTS YOUNG PEOPLE TO HAVE THE OPTION TO BUY THEIR OWN RETIREMENT ACCOUNT OR GET SOCIAL SECURITY.  IT WOULD STAY AS IS FOR OLDER WORKING PEOPLE ON UP.   Don't believe all the lies of the left.

There is going to be another recession next year.  IF:

The Bush tax cuts go off or if the go off for people making less than a certain amount.

Something isn't changed quickly on Obamacare because there will be more part time workers and less full time workers, because businesses don't have to provide health care for part time.

Religious exemptions for NOT paying for abortions or birth control.  It is cheaper for a big business to opt out and pay a penalty than provide insurance anyways.

Businesses with 60 employees will lay 10 off to opt out.

With all the part time help and layoffs, unemployment will go up, people will have less money, and bingo another recession.

I see right now the only way to save social security is to make people under 40 have to work until they are 70.  OR CUT THE (censored word) BUDGET AND NOT ALL MILITARY.  At least start with a 10% across the board cut on ALL programs.

In 1960 we had 85% of Americans covered on PRIVATE insurance.  Medicare and Medicaid were started to cover the other 15%.

Fast forward, in modern times 85% of those not covered were under 30 when Obama took office HAD PRIVATE INSURACE OFFERED TO THEM AT THEIR WORK PLACES but opted out because they were mostly healthy and most remained single.  In 1960 most were married by the time they were 21 and their nurturing instincts made them buy insurance.  That is why Obamacare made it available to kids up to 26 to be on their parents.  Average marrying age today is 27-28 if they get married.  Young people have no responsiblity.

Anyways we are headed to a recession.  I say let Obama have what he wants, and bring on the recession.  Maybe people will get tired of his stupidity.

BO may have put me out of business...

For the past 24 years, I've owned my own business, recruiting medical device sales reps...Last week, my major customer had a meeting discussing the 2.3 percent added tax on these products...The result???

Closing divisions, massive layoffs...These guys don't expect to hire anyone for quite a while...It's been terrible the past 3 years and looks like it's going to get worse...

I've been keeping the doors open by dipping into my 401k plan that I started in 1985...I simply can't keep doing this...I was sure with the poor job BO did his first term that he would not get reelected...

Well, I sure didn't realize that 51% of the American public were ignorant.... :(

I hope nobody on here actually thinks this health care bill is good for them. In my almost 70 years I have found when the government does something for me it all ways hurts me. I am sure this is the worst of examples so far.
