while it seems fashionable to blame one party, or one administration, or another, for the high gas prices it, nevertheless, will NOT change until the encumbent administration, and possibly a new Romney administration, wakes up to the fact that our very existance as a nation, and society, relies on DIESEL AND GASOLINE for it's very existance...like it or not.
i think everyone would agree, that 'green energy' is, without doubt, a credible as well as desirable, goal for our energy sources; to believe it could be changed from fossil fuel dependant to green sources in one presidential term (four years) is NOT reasonable...is it?
how long did it take the U.S. to change from horse and buggy technology to steam/coal technology? it did NOT happen in four years; more like 75-100 years.
it's hard to find an electric powered truck to tow my 20 ft trailer...maybe in another 25-50 years. but while we're working on that technology, i'll keep my gasoline/diesel powered truck/auto/locomotive/airplane/generator.
the astounding differences in automotive technology since i purchased my first automoibile, in 1962, is marvelous...it continues to improve.
we, the United States, have enough coal, natural gas, and oil to keep us well supplied for the next 100 years (which, by the way, IS A PART OF OUR NATURAL ENVIRONMENT) but guess who's adminsistration has NOT allowed it to be accessed on FEDERALLY CONTROLLED lands? we're shipping most of our oil to china and india! geeeeeeeeeeeeee....by the time our own resources run low, green sources should be developed to be affordable by the AVERAGE HOUSEHOLD consumer.
