In another post discussing homosexuality and the Boy Scouts, one poster said, "Outing gays- YES
Outing Pedophiles- NO.

Now this brings me to play the devil's advocate, and ask why some think homosexuality is right, but pedophilia is wrong......why?

Homosexuality between two consulting adults is neither right or wrong, it is just none of your business. Pedophilia takes advantage of a innocent victim and should not be tolerated.

As far as "queer activity", aka, homosexual activity, being neither right nor wrong, this also is not true. It not only goes against God, but against NATURE, and is therefore "disgustingly wrong", both morally and socially.

My so-called "pious pedestal", was straightening out a definition of an act that you obviously don't understand. Pedophilia is about sexually abused CHILDREN, and has nothing to do with innocent "adult" VICTIMS.

My point was, we must have a standard for morals. Mine is the Bible.

Yours might be something else if you condone homosexuality.

The pedophiles' is yet again another standard.

If mankind gets to pick and choose the standard, the pedophile is as right as anyone else if he can convince enough people to go along with him.

If the Bible is not the standard, the standard will change from time to time, as it did in ancient Rome.

Your original question, I would say, the adult has the choice, while the child seldom does. As to why some think one would be right, and the other wrong. I would say that is due to their moral makeup. Or lack of it.

I you read my post, I ask the question (why some think). Every man must have a basis for his decisions. Do I think pedophilia is worse that homosexuality? I sure do.....but my standard for life condemns both.

I have, (had) two nephews both of whom were gay. One finished college, got a PHD, got an outstanding job and died of aids at age 28.

The other lives with his other in a neighboring state.

Every man has to make his own decisions......but even if a majority of the populace decide being gay is acceptable, and gay marriage is as well.....does'nt make it right.

If so, then if a majority of the populace may decide pedophilia is ok......some middle eastern countries think so.....we don't share the same standard, they and I....

I object to the changing of the definition of the word marriage to include two people of the same sex.......that is a Union to me.......but don't bastardize the word marriage. I think homosexuality is a choice to be made by an adult individual, as I choose heterosexuality........pedophiles should be shot because I don't think they will ever change and they have the potential to harm a child.

I think some people don't understand that when something is wrong, then it is WRONG!
So they judge it as, "well it isn't as bad as "_FILL IN THE BLANK_"
Example = A homosexual may be wrong but it isn't as bad as a pedophile.
Thats like saying 1+1=3 (3 =homo) isn't as wrong as 1+1= 4 (4=pedophile).
They are both WRONG!
So don't condone 1+1=3

There may be a genetic component to homosexuality...there are several people in one line of my family.....but the difference is animals are controlled by instinct. Men should be controlled by right and wrong.

We can make a choice...animals cannot.

It's not having the desire that makes a thing wrong....it's giving in to it.

I'm going to restate on thing, then I'm done with it as well...

We all have some moral compass that we guide our lives by:

Me...it's the Bible

Others....their own or someone else's intellect..that is their creed.

Yet others......whatever fill their desires......without regard for law or creed.

These things divide us and always will.

When the court of opinion shifts away from the Bible...what is moral is always changing. We see that in the history of Rome and the gladiator contests...life became cheap. We see that in Rome where the father owned the infant until 12 mo's of age..he could legally smash it's head against a tree.

We see it in many places historically..just before the made a tragic end.

If two consenting adults want to get married, it's not yours or the government's business.

The word marriage is just a word. There is nothing inherently special about the word. How you and your spouse treat your marriage is what is sacred.

The GOP, conservatives, and whoever else needs to get off their moral high horse and leave the issue to those who commit the sins and God. After all, we are all sinners.

The interactions of two consenting adults are qiute a bit different than those of a child and an adult.

You do not need to be of any sort of religious background to understand the difference. The age of consent may be argued among different cultures, but there is a line that is not to be crossed everywhere.

Homo.. is a harsh world, not for adults or children. There may be a few that could raise a child and it not be mentally impaired but very few. The studies are at most biased and done by homos and those that have an interest in the positive reflection of such.
I doubt that married homo or lizzys take care of the majority of kids they take in. A red flag has been raised when a man or woman seeks their own kind. They dont need kids or marriage just a place out of the way to practice a very selfish, perverted exchange of doing things.
