I know one idiot at work who said he always looks to see if the hammer is cocked on a semi auto in order to know if it is ready to fire. I asked him if he has ever heard of double action. He said no, but the movies always show the hammer cocked. I carry with the first round set for double action. Just shows the ignorance out there.
