Co.first rifle season
« on: October 07, 2012, 07:32:21 AM »
I have my gun and ammo, my tags, orange vest and hat, a knife and some TP. Seems like I must be forgetting something.

Everyone else ready?

OH LORD A MIGHTY!!

I have returned from the Desication range of the Rockies. We were at 10,300 and above for the week. One fella went down with altitude sickness and three others had a day of mild symptoms. I took a scrip for it and suffered no ill effects at all.

WATER       I have never ever been so dry. I made a real effort to drink plenty too. Every man Jack of us commented how much dryer it was at 11000' than at 8500'. 1litre at dawn, 2.5 litres through the day, and another 1-2 through the evening. I would wake up through the night parched.
