I do not own one or have I ever fired one but I have handled a few in gunshops. They appear to me to be a well made firearm but rather expensive to buy. The only reasons for getting rid of one I can think of are the owner needs money, or perhaps it is  a safe queen and they are selling to buy another rifle. I've never heard of any accuracy problems related to Blaser rifles. This is pure speculation on my part. Ron...

I've never seen many for sale, fact is I doubt you could find a gunshot that stocks them in a small town. Where are you seeing all these for sale?

If i was starting over, with a bolt action rifle, a Blaser would be high on my list.

From what i've seen, they are an very nice, accurate, reliable rifle with some great options.

I am with Lloyd on this one, however we had a poster here a few yrs. ago from Memphis Tn. who was looking for one and I put him in contact with a dealer in Hot Springs Ar. I know who stocks them or did and he drove over and I believe he bought one, never had anymore contact with him so dont know how it worked out for him.  Jim

I've looked at a few as well...I like something different on occasion.  I found they were "odd."  Certainly functional enough but not of the American sensibility or rather, not what an American shooter expects when he/she has been shooting rugingtonchesters all his life.  Nothing wrond with it, just different enough that it made me uncomfortable or at least ponder as to wheter I wanted to spend the $$ on it or on a custom something or other......

One of our private shooting clubs board of directors, showed up with a Blazer to zero the scope on it.  One of his friends had bought a number of them when first introduced and he'd finally been able to buy one of them from him after years of trying.  LOL, he couldn't get the bolt out to try to bore scope it.  Seems you needed to remove a cap on the bolt handle that exposed a screw that you needed to unscrew to take off handle to remove bolt from action.    Anyway, Blazer design is interesting, different.  Its owner could cycle the bolt by merely pulling it straight back.....watched him cycle the bolt 4-5 times, like you could a pump shotgun.  Craftsmanship of the rifle seemed quite good to me.

No doubt a sign of the times, if safe queens are maybe being passed on for some needy cash.

No doubt the quality and functionality are right up there, in the Blazer,

but a bit too 'different' for my liking.

Guess i'll always just be a traditionalist.
I prefer things simple, and what i'm used to.

No harm in admiring fine firearms, though.
