The Chicago mob proposes...
« on: October 10, 2012, 01:25:00 AM »
The Chicago mob proposes a "violence" tax on guns and ammo.  If it goes through, folks in the "Windy City" (hey, great title) will be paying more because of the killers running Chicago's streets.

You can rest assured, if Obama gets re-elected that same tax will be enacted across the US.  This is "small potatoes" however, since Dick Morris says if Obama is re-elected, he will try to institute "gun control" by UN treaty...ands even try to surrender our soveriegnty through th UN.

Oh wonderful , if the remote control president gets another four years in office . You can bet that there will be a run on ammo and any magazines that accept over ten rounds in them .
I can still remember the run on any AR15 back in 2008 . I was at gun shows back then where i saw people with elect Obama stickers bumper stickers on their cars ,paying with gold coins for a black rifle .

It was as if the industry could not crank them out fast enough to cover supply and demand .
Some of you here are old enough to remember the same kind of hysteria back in the early 1990s when
Bill Clinton was elected .  It was mostly on reloading supply's like primers .

There already is a new "boomlet' in black rifles going on.  My grandson is a gunsmith and builds custom black rifles..  One fellow ordered 5 custom AR-15s,  one for each of his family.

Yep, Colt and Armalite once had the monopoly on black rifles.  Now, S&W, Remington, DPMS, Bushmaster, Rock River, and many others are making them as fast as they can.  Pistols are also in big demand, especially 9mm, 45acp, and 40s&w.  My wish list is for a DPMS AR-10 with 308, and 338 federal barrels.  They also come with 243, 7mm08 and 260 Rem barrels.  Don't know if they have 358 yet.  All can use the same bolt and magazines.

Hey, I have and will credit Clinton for my having a collection that is far more than I ever dreamed of.  I can't say the same for Obama, because I took care of business before this commie creep came along.
Just talking about it, I'm getting the urge to go fondle a high powered, high capacity war weapon.

I'm glad to see the people arming themselves with these guns.  not only do they make excellent hunting rifles, they are great for defense, and OFFENSE if the need should arise. ;)

My grandson really likes the black rifles; but then he used them as a Special Operations Marine in Iraq and grew "close to" his weapon there.  On the other hand, I don't like the black rifles..they just "feel awkward" to my liking.  I cut my military teeth on M1 Garands and M14s, so that is probably why I don't have a military style rifle in my lockers.  :)
Nevertheless, there are many folks who appreciate the black rifles...a custom AR15 is likely the top predator rifle out there..

One of my brothers has an M1A ,  he slaps a ten round magazine in it and he says its all set for hunting .  Nice rifles , but he says they were a lot better when they were built in Mass.
My dad has an M1 Garand in 30/06 , I like it a lot better .

Anna;
Having used both, I preferred the M14 over the M1 Garand (horrors!).  ;)   The M1A is of course, actually the M-14 military rifle, being sold to civilians.  I liked the multiple round magazine rather than the 8-round, "ping" clip.  The original 30/06 round has a small power edge over the .308 Win, but not so much any deer, antelope or bear could differentiate.  The tradeoff is a shorter, quicker action, utilizing a poppet piston, rather than a lengthy operating rod.
I like the .308 Win round enough that I recently purchased a new Ruger American, bolt rifle...choosing a .308 over the 30/06.
