« on: October 12, 2012, 05:20:54 AM »
i just bought a new left hand PSE bow madness 50-60 lbs bow.the draw length is spot on an the bow is set at 56 lbs.heres the promblem when i shoot it the string never goes back to the same spot.every time i shoot it i have to look down at the string an figure out were to nock the arrow to keep my peep an kisser in the right postion.the hose on my peep sight will twist around my string a full twist.i took it to the dealer an he said that its the string stretching but ive never had this kind of promblem with other bows ive had.i love this bow but this deal with the string is realy pi&%ing me off.
thanks

get a shurz-a-peep and take out
that one you have that needs rubber
tubing to pull it around on draw.
i did away with that crap years ago
after snagging tubing on limbs, etc.
ask an archery shop what they sell
the most of in that kind of item, and
they'll tell you peep sight replacement tube.

toss it-fix it-forget it

and make sure whoever serves it in
knows how to do it right. you don't
want the serving to come undone in
the middle of the blessed woods.

good luck

thanks for the response, but i dont think that peep will fix my promblem.ive had the g5 peep in the past an didnt get 100% turn on it when i drew the bow back so i keep to the hose peep because of that.if my string keeps twisting i dont see how a peep with no hose would turn to the correct spot when i draw the bow back.

well there are other brands on the same
concept. a shurzapeep is basically a disc
with a hole that serves in the string. no
matter which way the string may twist
the orifice to sight through is there. i had
a bow with a problem similar to yours and
the torque of the string winding back upon
release was throwing the arrow to the side.
when i put a shurzapeep in the string, the
torque from the tubing pulling on the string
was no longer there and didn't affect the
arrow flight.
i hate to open myself up for debate and unkind comments
but it maybe because of the bow design. i don't like
one-cam bows because they are harder to tune and
don't stay in tune as long as a two-wheel or two-cam
bow. i know they are faster, but f.p.s. doesn't mean
everything. accurate arrow placement and trouble-free
bow performance is what i look for.

you may also have to turn up the poundage a bit.(?)

good luck
hope you get it licked

Does sound like the string stretching and turning.  Happened to some degree on my PSE Stinger.  After a while it stretched and the peep/release loop rotation stopped.
