Wyoming antelope unit 23
« on: October 12, 2012, 04:53:47 PM »
I am about to venture on my antelope trip to wyoming and we are planing on camping.  My two questions are for those of you who have camp where did you get water and fire wood?
Any other information on camping or for unit 23 would be apreciated.
Thanks

We always took 30 gallon plastic barrels with us and filled them either in town or at a nearby ranch.
For fire wood we just picked up deadfall in nearby clumps of trees, always seemed to be enough around where we camped. Pay close attention to your campfires with the drought conditions out there.
We hunted in area29 for over thirty years, never failed to tag out on the opening day.

If you are going thru Douglas before setting up your camp there is a city park in town right near the river where you can get water.  As mentioned about campfires, you had better check if you can have one because of the drought conditions it may be illegal right now.  Good Luck on your hunt !
