reelhook, this is the perfect place to ask that question, as this IS a TC forum..I have a 309 JDJ in a 20"Contender rifle barrel that is a fantastic shooter!!  Necking down from 444 Marlin to 30 cal is a pain, but the ones you're interested in are larger and shouldn't be too much trouble.  It will shoot sub 1" groups all day long and is the most accurate gun I own.  SSK does some beautiful work.

I have a 22" rechamber 358JDJ Contender and it's great, accurate with the right loads, kicks plenty hard but my dentist reinforced my fillings after I got it. Great round, easy to load for and lots of fun. SSK does good work and stands behind it. You won't go wrong with either of the two you related and I see T/C is now putting out the 375JDJ as a factory barrel, with loaded ammo from Hornady. I never thought I'd see that happen.

JD Jones could probably do that with all his round for the T/C, make loads of the royalties and concentrate on his other firearms works. He does great stuff.

I have a 20" SSK .375 JDJ, SS, mounted with a T'sob and 4x leupold.  In carbine form with my homemade stock it goes just under 6 lbs. loaded up and ready to go.  I love this little rifle and don't ever think I will sell it.  I'm taking it to Colorado for a combo elk/mule deer hunt in october and can't wait.

My favorite load is shooting a 260gr. Nosler Accubond right at 2400fps, although I also have a load with the 270gr. Hornady that shoots to the exact same place at 100 yards.  It shoots better then I do, but with the 4x and all the recoil I can still keep 3 shots in about an inch and a half at 100, usually two touching then one about an inch away.

Feel free to ask me anything else you want.
