How do you keep up with posts on GBO?

Since there is always something of interest somewhere, I felt I was missing some good stuff by just looking at selected forums.  So for years now I have been going right to the "Show unread posts since last visit"  That way I see every post that is made and if a subject catches my eye I can read it.   ;D
 
What do you do?

Same thing. I only use the what's new since last visit. If it's a forum I have an interest in or where problems are common I'll then click to a forum off that list. Otherwise I just click on posts that either interest me or that I know folks have been misbehaving on to see the status.

Far too many new posts each day to read them all.

I wish there were LESS forum sections. I feel many of them overlap and can be joined together so information would be more easily accessible.

I can appreciate that!   ;)  Aside from indulging my interests in guns, reloading and hunting, reading all the other forums has rekindled or awakened interests in trapping, casting, leather work, BP firearms, knife making, woodworking, cooking and I don't know what all!   ;D
 
Heck, I'll be forced to retire just to have time for all these new hobbies I've acquired thanks to GBO!   ::)

I have the "new replies to your posts" bookmarked so it comes up first.
Then click on "new posts since last visit", and scan it for interesting stuff.
I will skip over new posts in certain forums, like the "Drinkin' and Chasin' Women" forum, or skip posts that don't look interesting.
Some topics I have replied to get repetitive or drift, and I will "unnotify"them in my profile, except that feature ain't working right now.

AWWWWW, hell, Atlaw---I can't remeber 20 minutes ago--so if'n I read all my post then I am catchin up on what I thought, I thought and that is news to me. Then I just take it from there---heck fire I can't even agree with myownself after 20 minutes or-so-later  it is a complete new arguement with myownself--or anybody who chooses to agree or disagree with me depending on the time.
Now---as I was saying---UH--what was I just sayin. ??? :-[

Click new replys first, from there it is on to since last visit. If it has been a few days and it's up to 12 pages or so I'll usually go back 2 days and stop. Seems anything worth while comes up once a day or so anyway.

That's not exactly true. I retired on September 28, 1995 so it wasn't that recently. We started GBO two years after I retired more or less. Now iffen I hadn't retired back then I might have had to in order to keep up with GBO. I've been retired a tad over 17 years now.

     I have my favorite sites, I avoid the sites where some are always trying to promote their own agenda, and the sites that have a couple arguing like children, the sites with the cut and paste posts that are like reading a book are only just a glance, I am retired and only devote enough time to eat breakfast.  Jim
