Howdy out there. Does anybody know why/when HVA changed the wing (Buehler style) safety from the left side to the right side? My 270 has a SN of 103xxx and the safety is on the left, and my 30-06 has an SN of 113xxx and the safety is on the right w/both being right handed rifles (bolt handle on the right). Also is there any info out there as to the production dates? They are both FN commercial actions w/HVA crest on the reciever. Old American Riflemen mags show importation by tradewinds at approx. 1948 through 1953, was looking for something a little more precise. Thanks-Muddy
