I have a Weatherby Sub-Moa 300wsm, that I bought new last year. I put a Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10/Timney trigger on it and zeroed for a much anticipated Moose hunt last year in New Brunswick CA. Here is where I made a mistake, as I single fed rounds during the entire barrel break-in and zero session. Nevertheless, I went on my trip, connected on a bull day 2. After the initial shot, I went to follow up and the rifle would not feed the second round into the chamber. Initially I thought I had pulled the dreaded "Short-Shuck" of the bolt in my haste. The bull went down, and the work began!
After getting home I examined the gun more closely, and attempted to "cycle" rounds from the magazine into the chamber. NO LUCK! After extracting the first round the second round would "Jam" every single time. I noticed it was buggering up the nose of that second round, while never fully chambering the round. The gun shoots pretty darn good...but as is might as well be a Ruger #1, as I have a single shot rifle. Anyone familiar with the push feed "Howa" action who might give me insight to what the problem is, and remedy would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in Advance for Your Time!
