To ride or hunt?
« on: November 03, 2012, 01:45:28 PM »
I sold my paid for bike because I had to many hobbies.  I know I did.  Too many people told me that.  One was my wife.  So, I gradually started getting rid of them until I got down to riding or hunting.  For anyone out there trying to decide if too many hobbies are too expensive and that you should just have one to keep peace in the family and harmony with the world, DON'T SELL YOUR BIKE!  No matter what, don't sell your bike unless you need the money to buy a bigger one.
Hunting is seasonal, but for those who love the road, biking is year round.  If the road ain't slick with snow or ice, you can dress and go.  Not so with hunting; you must wait until the law says it's time to go.
For those who can do both, I envy you.  For me, I'm plotting everyday how to buy a new cruiser.

no im not selling my bike.even if i couldnt ride it id keep it just to look at.if i was seriously disabled i would sell it and build a panhead or shovelhead for my son to ride. i learned more keeping a shovelhead runnin about mechanics than i learned anywhere else.or just take it apart and throw it in buckets and he would eventually put it bak together.just like i did with the first cupple bikes i had.

if i had to choose between ride or hunt? id just shoot whoever was makin me choose.problem solved

Thankfully I don't have to choose.  But if I did, I would no longer own a bike.

I have often imagined myself coming into town with a huge buck tied to my Harley....
