Last days of dove season
« on: November 03, 2012, 04:12:36 PM »
Saw a lot of doves hanging out in the woods at our deer lease during the middle of the day.
Probably eating the gravel on the logging roads.
Flush them up; like shooting quail on steriods; they are hard to hit but it is a lot of fun, like hunting when I was a kid, wher you just walk and see what jumps up.
Got 6 mourning doves and one dove that was brown with black specs and a white chest (white meat, big legs.)
Cooked the brown one tonight for a snack during the Bama game.
I'll eat the 6 mourning doves during the Georgia football clinic at Auburn next week.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.
