I like TrailBoss for my 45-70s, if I read the wind right I can hit a target at 500 yards. My load is 15gr of TB with a LaserCast 405gr slug. I also use it in 30-06s for plinking and will use it in the 44mags when I get some LaserCast slugs for them.
