The feeling here in Australia is that President Obama will win - it does affect us as it does the rest of the world so the intelligent amongst take an interest....

If elected, Romney will need advice and a lot of PR work to present as good an image as the President now does internationally.

Since the subject of this thread is predictions, as far as predictions go - and it's only just a guess from the other side of the world based on reading and commentry - is that the President will get 300 ecvs plus or minus 20 - but I wouldn't be wagering any of my money on that 

No one has yet been able to explain to me how your ecv system can be described as democratic - but it's the system you live with  .. & please folks, it's definitely not a criticism

Your words ring with the clarity of truth.  The silver lining to the cloud of the dumb and dumber is that when they bring down the house of cards to collapse the economy, we can shoot them when they start riots.  That is the easiset means of cutting the welfare entitlements.

Thank you two-blocked, it looks like a very comprehensive history of the process and I look forward to taking the time to read it all....

While the federal systems of our countries have similarites (each being a federation of states), we are both bound, for good or otherwise, by our constitutions and the  interpretation of those constitutions by our high court (in your case the supreme court).
