ok ran some rounds today 300 sst 4 t7 pellets 2350was my average

That's plausible, I don't doubt that a bit. Just 140 gr. of loose T 7 gets a 300 gr. sabot in the 2100 fps area in the shorter barreled Savage, with 1-1/2" or better 100 yard accuracy.

The whole "objection" was to the 2900 fps claim with accuracy, which I can't see is / was really a claim to begin with. That was started with 250 gr. Pyrodex pellets-- yet, 200 gr. Pyrodex pellets is the "max. rec. load." That seems to moot the "argument" in large measure, if there ever really was one to begin with.

I hope you can load those bullets easier in your gun. I had to stand on them in my Encore. 4 pellets is pretty costly. Is the accuracy making up for it? Wonder if you can put 4 pellets in a Savage? Just thinking that's all.
Sometimes that's dangerous for me. :-D

Hi Deputy,

I know you like your BP Express, anf your Encore as well. As to claims / ballistics / 3rd party testing---------- it really is up to Ultimate Firearms to promote their own products.

If UF is interested in testing, fine. I'm just not comfortable with testing a customer's gun at all, but I certainly appreciate the sentiment.

So, Randy, are you getting an Ultimate Firearms Bp Xpress muzzleloading rifle to test?

That little 5lb smokeless shooter Toby describes sounds interesting.

4200 ft/sec I'm told.

I understand they accomplished that with a new saboted 22 caliber bullet made of styrofoam that is several inches long with an unbelievable BC. It doesn't kill anything but scares the heck out of varmints when it hits them with a white puff of plastic.

This has nothing to do with anything here (so - I'm consistent), but the Albia buck's rack has been sold to Johnny Morris for around 100Gs.

Wayyyyyy cheap and they will regret it. They will have a replica to tour with and make money on the show circuit with but that rack would have brought twice that and many horn collectors are shocked they didn't shop it around more if they intended to sell it.
