when industry in this country can put people back to work the free ride will not be as attractive anymore . The quality of American products needs to improve, the output of our labor needs to reach higher ( it is already high) at more affordable pricing. And goods need to be priced so workers get value for thir work. We need to stop buying off shore what can be made here. We the people need to do this not Govt.
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

I have liberal elitest college professor inlaws who always vote democrat.  They went through school, made very good grades, got Ivy League educations at Brown, and now teach.  They have never been in the real world, worked in the real world.  They live in a utopian dream world.  They actually think rich exploit the poor and it takes government to "fix it".  Then there are those who are poor, get freebies.  One town in Alabama, has 90% black population.  The utility bills go to 85% women lead households.  This town has about 10,000 people.  $14 million dollars go through this town every quarter year in total aid.  Food stamps, welfare, section 8 housing, works programs for streets and urban renewal, education, 6 months utilities paid for, and now Obama phones.  City has the worst potholes on their city streets I have ever seen.  Elected officials have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.  They have a high dropout rate.  Now you tell me why people in the south are polarised, white republican, black democrat.  This is happening all over our state, and all over the south.  Northern country folks don't see this unless they go into the inner cities.  The welfare state has created a monster.  When my company wants to hire constrution workers, we have to hire about 1/3 minorities because of the laws.  Well, we interview over 200 before we can find one because they can't pass drug tests.  It is easier to hire Hispanics who can pass drug tests.  Sad situation.  So they set at home and smoke their joints, and collect an unemployment check or welfare check.  This can't go on too much longer, our nation is on the verge of bankrupcy.

The fact is, in my opinion, that the Republican party needs to stay with its core values, but be willing to move more to the center on some social issues that the general public does find important.  They also need to do a lot better job selling themselves to the American people.
Picking a more extreme right wing candidate would only make things worse.  By all means vote your conscious, but recognize that for a variety of reasons, this country has moved more and more to the left.  To those who say the election was lost because Romney was too middle of the road, well then, who did the most conservative voters vote for?  Obama?  This election cycle, third party candidates only made up about 7% of the vote, and a percentage of that was for extreme left wing candidates.  Romney still would not have won even if every voter who voted for a right wing candidate changed their vote to him.

If the three million conservatives that voted for McCain had voted this time, Romney would have had a majority of votes, period; therefore that premise falls flat on its face.

The effect of that on the Electoral College is unknown.

Hello Bob
I am curious, what facts do you use to support the statement that 3 million conservative McCain voters did not vote this election?  And if that is a  fact, and it did in fact cause Romney to lose the election, then who's fault is that?.  Don't like the middle of the road Republican, so I wont vote at all, and empower a liberal Democratic win?   You could just as easily say if the huge number of young people had voted for Obama in 2008 had come out and voted this year (The number of young voters was slightly down, but I cant give you exact numbers...), Then Obama would have won by even a bigger margin..

Yup IG,,,,radicals of a different stripe. Yup, and alot more misanthropic then the gang you mentioned. Normally, average people don't warm up to misanthropes.... ;D

Hey TM, wouldn't a misanthrope be someone who hates everyone equally (regardless of race, color, or gender[oops, that last one is a misogynist- same difference in this case maybe])? So in a way, calling them misanthropes may be giving them too much credit?

My mom always joked and called me a misanthrope (at least I think she was joking) :-\ .

For the life of me I can not understand any gun owning hunter that loves his freedom and does not vote against obummer to make sure he didn't win. If I could not stand Romney I would still vote for him. With him winning I know we are going to have real problems with gun ownership. Much all the other bs I hear he has in mind for the US.I just don't understand it.

I think that ultimately, the gun issue is going to inevitably come to the point that we all dread any way regardless of which "whore" is in office. Sooner, maybe later... who knows. But it sucks to wait and prolong impending death while living in anxious fear and anticipation. In the end, I think that both sides of power have the same thing in mind for us "small folk". And it isn't good.

   Just do the math..
 1) There are too many takers to ever again elect a responsible administration in Washington.

 2) Even they cannot turn off the freebies spigot, without widespread rioting and civil insurrection.

 3) We cannot maintain the spending level as it is right now..without financial collapse.

 4) If taxes keep rising, the most productive people and corporations will "self-deport", widening the problem.

 5) So, how do we go down..
      a) Economic collapse.

       b) Mobs in the streets..aided by opportunistic terrorists

       c) Swallowed up by a foreign power, due to funds being diverted from the military to more "freebies".

       d) Rampant diseases, due to the promotion of decadent lifestyles....too many made non-productive by dope.

*even though mexicans comprise MOST illegal immigrants, there are MANY others of other national orgins, that are ILLEGAL immigrants, too.
one thing to keep your eyes on right now...did you see how the market dropped when barry was "Re-elected"?
we, as a nation, are definitely, headed for big problems, financially.

I miss Ronald Reagan.  He was the last president to actually win a landslide, made you proud to be an American, knew how to get the economy running in spite of Tip O'neal, by using the boll weavel democrats with the republicans.  He knew hot to stand up to communism, and made it fall.

Bill Clinton actually never got a majority because of Ross Perot.  Otherwise we would have had republican presidents up until now.

Mitt Romney better be thankful he lost this election. It was the best thing for him and I hope he understands that, which by now he should.
He was hated by both sides. No matter how good he could have been (I dont know) the bitching would have continued. He came out the only winner of this whole sorry a$$ed political process.

Now just to get the numbers and know you are wanting change, let me ask a few questions.
How many have now called and joined a like minded group to help make change.  My guess all of you have. Good, good, good.
How many have already called or wrote your governor and told him you will not except an insurance exchange set up in your state to administer clowncare, because the government cannot leagaly do it they must get the states to do it. My guess again is all of you have. WE are lookin good, give... me.. fivvve.
How many have already called to become a precinct captain in your area and a poll worker so you can get started on the next election. I know I am right when I say all of you have, man this makes my day and people say you just set around bitch, moan, drink, chase neighbors wives and shoot guns and dont have any inckling of who is/will run in the coming elections. Boy are they wrong.
There is more but since you are already out there kicking booty, we will forego more questions. Keep up the work, march on brother, break a leg... this means good luck.

  Meanwhile, since Obama has been re-elected, the stock market has gone as predicted;

    Brett;
It is highly unlikely that conservatives will win another election before the crash of the country..or the seperation of it.  The fix is in, the Dems have brought Chicago mob [olitics to the whole country..just consider this news item:
http://beforeitsnews.com/global-unrest/2012/11/fixed-in-philly-59-voting-districts-reported-zero-votes-for-romney-2447742.html

Here is an obvious bunch of crookedness in politics  59 districts with not pne, single vote for Romney...and the major media doesn't want to see it!
Let's us a little logic...and place it elsewhere..  registered voters only comprise about 30% of the population, but since all I can find is entire population, let's pretend that everyone votes in Texas and Washington state..
In order to get the same average one would have to check all the votes in Washington's Columbia, Garfield, Lincoln and Pend ORielle counties and find not one vote for Romney..really stupid, isn't it!
In Texas, check the combined votes from Crockett, Briscoe, Borden, Foard, Irion, King, McMullen, Oldham and Sutton counties..and find not one vote for Obama....  No need to comment..the truth is evident..
If the figures were relegated to the registered voters in Washington & Texas..we could add many more counties..

C'mon;  I may have been born on a Friday...but it Wasn't LAST Friday...

if I remember correctly, I voted for one democrat, two republicans, about eight libertarians, just crossed out the choices on the ones that I wasn't too sure about (didn't want those spaces filled in fraudulently later on)... all those hard charging partriotic republicans that faught hard to block obama last time didn't actually do much.  it seems like they slowed down the drive towards bankruptcy and pruned the spending a bit, but didn't stop a damn thing in four years.  I'm a registered republican but that might change soon.  they need to actually do what they say and stop the 1/2 effort follow through (they do the 1/2 that benefits the elite though!).

do the math

50.?% of those  motivated enough to get out and play the lesser of 2 evils game
came to the conclusion that  OBOMER was their man

47.?%   of those motivated enoughto get out and play the lesser of 2 evils game
came to the comclusion that romnee   was the lesser of 2 evils

2.?%. of those motivated enough to get out and vote...voted  for the best  man.....WITH PRIDE

54.2%  of the eligible   voters  didn't bother to vote

less  than 25%    made the choice for the over 75% that REFUSED to play the lesser of 2 evils game

not  liking the lesser of 2 evils  WON'T CHANGE IT
REFUSING TO PLAY  IT  WON'T CHANGE IT
voting a third party won't change it
sitting home won't change it

get involved in the primaries....then play the lesser game
who  knows with enough invovlment...
maybe  the lesser in the general election will also be the BEST
when drugs are outlawed only out laws will have drugs
DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO STOP A DEMOCRAT
OBAMACARE....the biggest tax hike in the  history of mankind
