Yep, and thanks for my retirement 401k and Pension going in the tank and I have had to work longer than I expected. My hard work and savings for 37 years in the tank. Thanks for my home not increasing in value the last 4 years by $100,000. I was going to sell and downsize to have more retiremenet money.

Like Michelle Obama said, "for the first time in my life, I am proud to be an American". Well, for the first time in my life, I am not proud of my country. It has abandoned the values and dreams of our forefathers, like hard work and savings, you accumulate wealth for the American Dream. Like liberty, like justice, not social justice, but individual justice. Like freedom of religion, not freedom FROM religion. Like praising those whose hard work got them wealthy, instead of demonising them. Like helping the poor with a hand up, not a hand out. Like teaching them to fish, instead of giveing them fish.

I guess that is why over 4,200 people a year, who are wealthy, have given up their American citizenship and moved to the Caymen Islands so they don't have to pay over half their income in taxes. Like so many corporations who have moved overseas to keep from paying high corporate taxes. Like so many retail employers who are going to keep as many part time people as possible instead of full time so they don't have to pay high Obamacare taxes, like Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Red Lobster, and many other's who are joining them. Like so many doctor's who will no longer take Medicare or Medicaid because it pays them less than their operating costs trying to pay nurses, receptionists, rent, medical equipment, etc. Like so many doctors around my neck of the woods who are going to retire early because of the paperwork hassle.

For you liberals, don't make fun of us and say we didn't warn you. I feel so sorry for my kids and grandkids, who will have to pay for all this stupidity. I just hope they all find Jesus as their Lord and Savior personally in their hearts, before the end comes.

Also, thanks for making America weaker so we are no longer the worlds police, and there will be a power vacuum, which will lead to more wars and conflicts around the world. Bully nations will not be stopped or kept in check. Idiot dictators will rise up. Some in our weakness will attack us.

There is the China vs Japan problem, China vs Taiwan problem, China vs India problem, and China vs Tibet problem.
There is the India vs Pakistan problem, and India vs China as mentioned.
There is the Somali problem. There is the Sudan vs Southern Sudan problem.
There is the Arab vs Israeli problem.
There is the Iranian problem.
There is the growing Russian problem
There is the European problem with all the weak economies.
There is the drug problem from Latin America.
There is the ILLEGAL immigrant problem.
There is the Syrian problem.
There is the Israeli Palistinian problem.

Not one of these are or have been addressed or is seriously being worked on. If we are weaker in economics and military, we can't do one thing about all these potential explosive situations. The UN can't, Nato will be reluctant. There will be a serious power vacuum.

We could become isolationist, but we are in no position to even do that with our dependency on imported manufactured goods, food, and oil.

We need an AMERICA first president to get these problems solved.

Not going to happen the next 4 years. Hopefully we can last long enough to really change back in 4 years, but I don't see it happening.

Yes, then they will start taxing the millionares, so they will just retire early, and shut down their businesses. Hyper inflation is coming, they have to pay for this excessive spending somehow. No ammount of taxing will pay for it. Right now cutting to the bone will only gut our military and/or limit what people can get from the handouts, so riots will occur like in Greece. Production and a growing economy is the only way to get out of this mess. Ain't going to happen under Obama. We can't produce much anymore because half our factories moved overseas. We can't build houses to provide jobs because noone can afford one anymore. It will take someone who knows how to fix businesses and industry, and America don't believe it.

First of all, Obama won two consecutive landslides. This is not some minor effect. He was decisively elected.

Don't forget the republicans in all of this. Aside from the gross incompetence of the GW Bush administration on many things, the years following the Bush administration have been characterized a republican party that appears to be a bunch of bumbling idiots who can't even get a dog catcher elected. This last presidential election was a golden opportunity, and despite the fact that democrat voters showed a lower turnout than in 2008, the republican turnout was lower too.

Remember that despite running a brilliant campaign, Romney was that east coast gun hating liberal that fathered the individual health care mandate and had a long history of doing things that are more democrat than republican. America voted for what appears to have been taken as the lesser of two evils, and that doesn't say much good about Romney or the republican message.

As for manufacturing, the US has a very big and important manufacturing sector. It just doesn't employ as many people as back in the old steel mill days because human labor has been automated out of it.

Over 3 million registered Republicans stayed home and refused to vote because they did not like Romney. He was not conservative enough for them. They carry a good part of the blame for Obama getting reelected. They will never be satisfied, and to get a person they will vote for more of the Moderate Republicans will say he is too conservative and vote against him.

The Republican Party is too divided, maybe Herman Caine is right. We need a third party, we can't win as we are. Don't know who is worst, the Muslims or the Ultra Conservative Republicans. There is no difference between the two. Both are fanatics.

I've heard this argument, and the corrollary that 10 million fewer democrat voters voted this time. I disagree with the analyses of these. I think it means only that voter enthusiasm was higher in 2008 than this year. I think that's just part of the normal dynamics of an election.

If we're searching for a root cause, I think the answer lies in the republican message, strategy, and execution of campaigns. We have been seeing for several years elections where republicans lost races where the opportunity for a republican was very high. The way I see it, the democrats simply have a better vision of how to campaign, better organization, better strategy, more effective tactics, and better execution of a campaign.

It's not just in this recent national race, you see it nation-wide. The republican party needs to go look in the mirror and ask "what's wrong with me" instead of looking for things to point fingers at.

The basic republican platform of strong economy, limited government, strong national defense, and a nation of opportunity is a good one, but you have to be genuinely engaged in public discourse to know that. Everybody else sees the republicans as either denying benefits to special interests or benefitting the rich.

I think it even goes back to the republican primaries. Have you all forgot how dirty, mean spirited and nasty that was? By the time the candidates were done tearing each other down to their underwear none of them seemed fit for dog catcher let alone the office of president. I certainly didn't even want to consider any of the primary candidates after that.

they pay from $6 to $9.50 (italy).
imagine the cost to ship goods at that price for fuel, and imagine the food prices at those shipping costs.
imagine the tax burden when obama has to fork over even more money to feed his parasites.

Obama DID NOT WIN A LANDSLIDE. He won the electoral votes from the states he won. However in popular vote only 2 million + votes seperated him from Romney. 3 million republicans who voted last time stayed home this time. So if they voted, Romney would probably have won, especially the close votes in toss up states.

Funny how the Republicans can win the house, which is the most democratic of the sections of government. They put up stupid cantidates for senate who put their feet in their mouth, otherwise they would have won at least 3 senate seats. By just not having the enthusiasm for Romney, people like the libertarians did not vote for him. Ronald Reagan got the libertarian vote. Also, the mainstream media was against Romney. The hurricane made Obama look presidential when Romney was surging. This took the eyes off Romney and the Libya situation for a week and on Obama and Christie. They said many people made up their minds at the last minute based on Obamas photo opt at the hurricane damaged areas. Not like Bush who was being pragmatic to not get in the way of recovery, because of the security that had to be in place for the president. I think there are plenty of good Americans left, they just have to vote and quit being whiny because their man didn't make it through the primaries. We definately need another Reagan. He was the last president who actually won by a landslide, in both popular and electoral votes.

A lot of good post have been made covering this subject.
But really IMHO it seems like it was the "Have not`s vs the Haves" , where you had alot more " Have not`s" voting as opposed to the " Haves"!
Throw in the frigging young gals who are just voting for " me and myself" and following the "Pied Piper O.B."! So therefore the outcome is pretty predictable when around 50% of the population is on the government dole in one way or the other. Throw in all of the illegal immigrants that voted and that just provides a little extra frosting on the democratic side of the ledger!

If those bad things happen, it's because the American people wished it to be so. Obama won on a significant majority of the popular vote, and over 3/5 of the electoral college vote. If this constitutes "obama supporters", then the whole country is filled with them.

The day before the election Carl Rove and Dick Morris were predicting a landslide for Romney based on the assumption that Romney would win by the same numbers that Obama won on. They were calling the Romney win using the same numbers as a landslide, so Obama's win fits the expert criteria for a landslide win.

The simple fact is that the Republicans had a golden opportunity and blew it. Focus on the republicans and what they need to do, not some boogie men called obama supporters.

The day after the election I read a speculative article on who would be the republican super stars for 2016. This included Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan. Well, these are career politicians. Rubio has a sordid history of being involved with financial dirty dealings. These are super stars?

I have been to the Caymen Is. on vacation and like my Bride said the 1st. time there ( I could live here ) it is a real clean place and you dont see vary many police looking over your shoulder wondering what you are doing, dont know abt. real estate costs but it is a wonderful place to vacation.
