I believe it was not following landing instruction not just irritating and attendent . Considering what has happened on planes in the past following instruction is important. I have been on planes that bounced on landing , once several times on a dark stormy night in an eletrical storm. Had someone been lose in the isle they could have been thrown into others causing injury. As far as I concerned if you don't want to follow the rules don't fly. Which is why I fly very little these day.
Could be. I personally know a guy who'd inadvertently irritated a flight attendant - didn't know it - and they diverted the flight, landed - he had no clue it was due to anything he'd done - and he ended up in federal custody, and learned a few things he would have preferred to have never learned about his gov't. It was a couple years after 9/11, and you'd think the panic would be over by now, but... apparently not.
