« on: November 10, 2012, 05:34:56 AM »

Is this from the FAQ:
The Williams WGRS peep sight is available direct from H&R for $20.00 w/$5.10 shipping, part number FR03019

The same as this?
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/698217/williams-wgrs-h-and-r-guide-receiver-peep-sight-h-and-r-158-258-topper-single-shot-rifles-ruger-mark-ii-aluminum-black

Looking for a picture of FR03019.

Thanks!

Same sight, H&R puts em on the BC (and Target when they made em).  ;) I have one on a couple H&Rs, one is on my M1908.

I really like the WGRS rear peep. Most of my Handi's are set up with that sight on the rear and a Remington ramp on the front. Makes a great setup. :)

I ordered the peep sight on Monday from H&R and received it today. :)   It didn't come with screws. ???   Were they supposed to include the screws?

Tim;
Did you epoxy the sight to your shotgun or have it drilled and tapped?

One 6-48 blind hole mounted screw and Black Max 380 Loctite, same for the front sight, but it went all the way thru and had to finish it flush with the bore.

Thanks.  I couldn't find "parts" on their site.  Tried Williams too - a couple times and the best way to go with them is to call also.

UPS obliterated the rear leaf on the 30-30 I just got and I want to move the sight back and replace the leaf with an aperature.

Midway has this:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/496762?cm_vc=S014
But it isn't threaded.  Price isn't too bad if shipping doesn't kill you.

Williams will stuff parts into a padded envelope and send it via USPS.

You will likely find the front sight too low, its set for the lower open sight height.

Think this will be the case with a new 22LR Sportster?

If you have an open sight gun in hand and look down through the sights, getting the alignment of them and hold a pencil tip, etc. at the rear about the height of a peep sight at its lowest position I think you can 'see' if the front may work or not.

I spoke to Lisa yesterday, the screws are not included.  They are $3 each and $6 shipping. :o   I dug through my parts box and found some that worked.
