Kudos To Remington
« on: November 10, 2012, 08:56:40 AM »
I recently bought a Remington R1 1911 and it would on occasion hang up on the next to the last round.  I called Remington and they said send it back.  They paid shipping both ways.  I sent it on a Thursday afternoon and I had it back the following Tuesday.  They even gave me an extra magazine.  I shot it today using the factory mags and some Wilson Combat 8 shot mags.  It works perfectly now.  I really love this gun.  The return invoice said polish feed cut and adjust.

That's good to hear Swampman.  That's a nice looking 1911 by the way.

I mostly shoot the $29.95 per hundred Federal 230 grain hardball they sell at Walmart but I'm fixing to start reloading for it.

I'm liking the way they look.  I try to stay away from stainless....it's the clean lines and the blued steel thing for me.

If you seem to have issues with HP's keep shooting it--it should work out its own digestive track. Besides that, hardballs are are hard enough on a BG's digestive track.
It is hard to beat the looks of any 1911---just sumthin about em that looks right.
