M10 308 using a hot charge of varget and the 168gr A Max did good this evening. Been a fruitless deer season so far. Seems that more family had hit deer in vehicles then in the woods.
I had confirmed before season last year that Hornady rated the 168gr A Max good for medium game but didn't get a shot. Well I can say without a doubt it is crazy destructive, the exit on the far side of the neck was larger then my fist.
Just happy that I was able to put some meat in the freezer.
