I see leupold updated its vx2 vx1 line again. Occording to what i read the new vx1 has the glass and now even the click ajust turrents that the vx2 line had and the vx2 is supposed to be upgraded with even better glass. Anyone use any of these yet and what do you think of them.

Kinda funny you mention this....I have a VX-1 4x12x40 and it has click adjustments.  I also own many VX-2 and 3 scopes and find that I can easily live with VX-1s.  I'm not seeing that much difference between them.  I have 2 VX-2 4x12x40 with AO that I'd rather not have.  The VX-1 doesn't have AO and it works just fine.

if you have a vx1 with click ajustments its the same scope as the vx2s before this change. For the price they made them hard to beat. they took away my biggest gripe with them and thats the friction ajustments. I detested them.

I'm also finding the VX-1 to be hard to beat.

I think many are confused by Leupold's change in the names of their scope lines, the previous generation were VX-I, VX-II and VX-III, not to be confused with the latest generation named VX-1(not I), VX-2(not VX-II) and VX-3(not VX-III). You can see the differences in the previous lines in their FAQs which they haven't updated with the latest generation differences yet. The VX-I didn't have click adjustments, the  VX-1 does.

about I think I have ten of them dating back 40 years ago.  I have about every variable hunting product up to the LPS.  I frankly do not even know how to compare or rank them.  If the rifle they are on groups well, I leave it alone.  There is one 4X12 that has finer cross hairs that I do not prefer, but other than that, they suit me just fine.  Most are 3X9, 3.5X10, or 4X12.  One is 2.5X8 and one is 1-4.  Counting a pistol scope maybe there are 12.

Like a Timex, they take a licking and keep on ticking.
