Minnesota principal looks to ban leggings          by Bethanni Williams WHAS11.com Posted on November 13, 2012 at 9:25 AM      MINNESOTA (WHAS11) -- A high school principal in Minnesota is looking to ban leggings when they're worn without something elset to help cover the tight-fitting "pants."
Principal Dave Adney said he understands they're comfortable but would like the girls to wear something to cover up more of their body.

He said the way girls are wearing spandex is changing and it is distracting.

"You are not evil if you wear spandex, that's not the word I want out there. It’s just kind of a body suit kind of look which is hard to study algebra during the day, every day it's distracting to a wide variety of boys and girls in school," Adney said.
The school board has yet to take up the matter.

you can encase a girl in concrete and a boy will buy or steal a hammer and chisel.
in my highschool days, the boys had to wear their shirts tucked it and girls wore dresses or skirts.
if the temp dropped below freezing they could wear slacks, no bluejeans.

We don't allow it here at our school and never will as it becomes a huge safety issue fast.

same here and on friday we had to wear suit or sport coats and tie, girls in sunday dresses , the girls who wanted to show off found a way . It seemed the more adm tried to stop it the more girls tried to get away with stuff and so did the boys. Back in the 70's it was the no bra look and halter tops and short shorts then hot pants ............

You can't stop a fella from looking. I just recently returned from the city. The leggings seemed to be a fashion. Didn't bother me at all and people conducted whatever buisness they had and kept moving. I am guessing this principal doesn't know about self control and thinks he needs to intervene or perhaps he is just excited about underage girls.
