I just got an A bolt ll varmint in. 243 wssm. After firing winchester ammo the case is so tight I can hardly work the bolt. Unfired cases feed perfect. Any help?

WSSMs are famous for this.

Is the chamber absolutely clean? Could be that a heavy oil remains in the chamber which
hardened during firing and is locking up the fired case.

Is there any roughness that can be polished out?

Frankly, Browning should fix it for you under warranty. Send the rifle in "as-is" with the stuck cartridge
and the empty box of factory ammo.

Hopefully this doesn't ruin your deer season.

We have two in our family, both purchased the year the rifles came out.  One is the A-Bolt Medalion and the other is the synthetic stock model.  Don't know what they call that one.  Both are very reliable in feeding and extraction.  We have fired all of the factory available 95 and 100 grain rounds, but none of the 55 grain bullets.  The only problem we have had is that the Barnes 85 grain TSX bullet in hand loads will not feed reliably, even with extensive tinkering with the magazines.  The 80 grain Barnes TTSX bullet feeds fine.  I have personally run a lot of rounds through my Medalion and it is a fine little rifle.
Both rifles are very accurate.  We have yet to need a second shot to drop a deer, 7 one shot kills so far.  The only problem with the factory bullets as a deer round is that there is no blood trail.  It is even difficult to find where the deer are hit.  That is the reason for the Barnes hand loads.

I remembered another thing to check regarding this issue.  I was having a problem with the bolt being sticky even before I fired the round.  I discovered I was apparently raming the bullet into the lans.  I did not realize what was happening until I got a length gage.
